Jenny Walker is an experienced later life solicitor in Portsmouth and advises clients on a range of issues arising out of later life.
After completing her Masters Degree in Political Philosophy Jenny went travelling but before getting on the plane she submitted her application to study law and qualify as a solicitor. She completed her training in 2002 and her career has seen her as partner and head of department in her last two law firms.
Jenny advises clients in relation to preparing wills, administering estates, dealing with powers of attorney, court of protection applications and setting up trusts. She also advises and assists people with their personal affairs for example advice about care home fees, tax, trusts and disputes that can arise after the death of a friend or family member, or when people lose mental capacity to deal with their own affairs.
Jenny enjoys explaining and demystifying complex legal issues and procedures at what can be sometimes stressful and difficult times for people. She is empathetic and explains legal matters in a clear, concise, and straightforward way.
She is also a full member of STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) which means she is one of the most senior and experienced practitioners in the field of trusts and estates.
When she is not at work, she will be found taking photographs, volunteering with 5th Portsmouth Scout Group or on the sofa with her nose in a book.
