Alison Edwards

Alison is a Later Lifer Client Solicitor specialising in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Probate advice, based in Worthing.

Alison Edwards specialises in providing advice in the following areas:

  • Elderly client work:
    • Preparation of Wills
    • Creating Lasting Powers of Attorney
    • Court of Protection Applications
  • All aspects of Estate Administration

Having qualified in 1997, Alison moved to Worthing in 1998 where she joined a local high street firm, becoming a partner in 2006 and subsequently head of the probate department. In 2010 after the sudden death of her father and having assisted her mother to manage the paperwork at home alone she set up her own niche business, helping other people in a similar fashion, and offering a hand-holding service for personal probate applications amongst other things. As Alison's youngest child started University in Sept 2024, the time was right to step back into the law, and she joined Cognitive in December 2024.

Alison's clients are very much at the centre of what she does; Alison pride herself on making time to explore with them the matters that are important to them, offering expert and practical advice and guidance on the decisions that they have to make whilst ensuring that the work she does for them is completed to a high standard and in a timely fashion.

Away from the office Alison walks with Highdown Hillwalking and Mountaineering Club, cycles with Angmering Cycle Club and sings with Worthing Choral Society. In what spare time she has left she enjoys dog walking, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family!
