We’ve got your back icon We’ve got your back

Once you're up and running, we don't just leave you to it. We all need a little help every now and then, and we have the team and systems in place to give you support whenever you need it. Whether it's IT, admin, or paralegal assistant that's required, we'll be right behind you.

We make sure that the essential back-office processes and procedures are taken care of. Cognitive arranges professional indemnity insurance, handles compliance management, and ensures the smooth running of your practice. You really can have the best of both worlds – the benefit of knowing that the details are being looked after, whilst retaining control of your working life.

We know where to go if you need a paralegal who meets the Cognitive quality standard of service and where to access secretarial support. We will help you fulfil your business plan, and work with you to support your marketing plan. We provide templates of those plans for you and can use these plans to support you every step of the way throughout your consultancy.

Coaching for Success

As part of your seamless transition to Cognitive Law, we have partnered with an accredited Executive and Business Coach to offer all new consultants a no-obligation coaching programme designed to help you hit the ground running.

Our coaching programme is designed for lawyers who want to join Cognitive Law from traditional law firms. It provides extra support, guidance, and encouragement to help you build a successful practice here at Cognitive Law.

How It Will Benefit You

Moving to self-employment is exciting, but it can feel uncertain. From attracting clients to managing business development and setting your own pricing, it can feel overwhelming. That’s why we created this programme—to help you navigate these challenges and set you up for success.

You’ll work one-on-one with your own Executive Coach, exploring practical ways to attract clients, manage your workload, and grow your income. It’s not just about business skills; the programme will help you build confidence and make better decisions too.

How It Works

The programme lasts 4 months and includes 6 1:1 coaching sessions. You’ll have your own dedicated coach to guide you through the process. There are 8 key topics to choose from, and you’ll select 4 that best suit your needs. You’ll also receive helpful resources to support your learning and put new strategies into practice.

The 8 Coaching Topics

  1. Personal Branding – Explore how to position yourself as the go-to solicitor and express your personal brand authentically.
  2. Business Development – Identify growth opportunities and create a plan that suits your strengths.
  3. Transitioning to Self-Employment – Navigate the challenges of moving from a traditional firm to running your own practice.
  4. Attracting New Clients – Review your current methods and explore new strategies to attract ideal clients.
  5. Converting Potential Clients – Improve your ability to turn prospects into clients and strengthen relationships with referrers.
  6. Visibility – Raise your profile both online and offline in a way that feels authentic and achievable.
  7. Pricing – Build confidence in your pricing strategy and ensure it reflects the value you offer clients.
  8. Measuring Success – Define what success means for you and track progress in meaningful ways.
