The Role

Cognitive Law is looking for entrepreneurial company commercial solicitors to join our growing professional network of consultant solicitors across the south east and nationwide. Our firm has ambitious development plans and we are looking for key people to help drive the firm forward. We want to engage with individuals who are leaders in their field, with the ambition and skills to continue to build their chosen practices, and potentially grow their own commercial team.

The position would suit a well-rounded company commercial solicitor with experience in working across a range of corporate work, including mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate reorganisations, company and regulatory law matters, advising on all aspects of commercial contracts including supply contracts, terms & conditions, and agency distribution agreements.

The Firm

Cognitive Law is a contemporary law firm built on foundations that empower its team to think client first, every time. Since 2014 Cognitive Law’s solicitors have provided transparency in working practices and fees to clients in corporate, employment and family law advice. Although headquartered in Brighton, solicitors working with Cognitive Law do so on a virtual and flexible basis as self-employed consultants. Each solicitor manages their own client base and practice specialism, supported by a team based in the head office.

We operate a remuneration model which is industry leading and designed to reward you incrementally on how much legal work you choose to undertake. Free from billing targets and hourly rate brackets, our solicitors set their own charging structures and manage their own WIP. Our business model affords our solicitors the ability to manage their work/life commitments within a framework that provides back-office support.
